Before Getting Started:

  1. First of all take a complete backup of your Samsung Galaxy S5 like SMS, MMS, Call Logs, Contacts and Media Files etc.
  2. Enable the USB debugging Mode on your Samsung Galaxy S5.
  3. Your device battery should have more than 80% charged in it.
  4. Head over to About Phone and tap 7 times on the Build Number of the device to enable the Developer Options.
  5. Install the latest USB drivers on your PC.

Steps to Install the Android 5.0 Lollipop on Samsung Galaxy S5

Here is a step by step guide to install the Android 5.0 Lollipop on Galaxy S5 with CyanogenMod 12.

Step No 1:- Download Android 5.0 CM12 ROM.

Step No 2:- Connect your Galaxy S5 to PC via USB cable.

Step No 3:- Copy the downloaded ROM zip file to S5 SD card.

Step No 4:- Power OFF your Galaxy S5 and press the Volume Up + Home + Power buttons altogether to boot into the recovery menu of Galaxy S5.

Step No 6:- In the Recovery Mode of your Samsung Galaxy S5 wipe date/factory reset.

Step No 7:- Now Perform the Cache and Dalvik cache.

Step No 8:- Return to the main recovery mode and install the downloaded zip file which you’ve already copied to your SD card.

Step No 9:- Navigate to the place where you’ve copied the zip file and select to install it on your Galaxy S5.

Step No 10:- After the successful installation of zip file, select the Reboot System Now.

Congratulations! You’ve successfully installed the Android 5.0 Lollipop on your Samsung Galaxy S5.
