Before Getting Started
- Your device battery should have at least 60% charge to avoid any kind of shutdowns during the installation process.
- Take a complete backup of your entire device because it will wipe out all your data.
- Install the latest USB drivers for your device on your PC.
- Enable the USB Debugging mode on your device by heading over to Settings -> Developer options.
- You must’ve the boot loader unlocked device.
- You may have the setup ADB and Fastboot on your PC or you may also download the Minimal Fastboot/ADB tool and then unzip it. mfastboot-v2.zip

Steps to Install Android 5.0 Lollipop on Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 Wi-Fi
Here we’ve given a step by step guide that how to install the Android 5.0 Lollipop images on Nexus 5 and Nexus 7 2013 Wi-Fi Models.
Step No 1:- Hold the Shift key and then right-click on mouse in any of the empty space of the folder to enter into the command prompt in the Fastboot.
Step No 2:- Via original USB cable connect your device to PC.
Step No 3:- Reboot your Nexus device into the boot loader by typing the below given command in the command prompt.
adb reboot bootloader
Step No 4:- Your device should be bootloader unlocked if it’s not then unlock the device by entering the below given command.
fastboot oem unlock
Step No 5:- Follow the on-screen instructions and then choose to erase the device.
Step No 6:- Now unzip the preview image to the same folder as the fastboot folder.
Step No 7:- Enter the below given command in the command prompt.

Step No 8:- The script file will now automatically be flashed all the files on your Nexus device.
Step No 9:- Be calm because it may take some time to install the new Android 5.0 Lollipop on your device.
Note: Don’t unplug the Nexus device during this time.
