Before Getting Started:

- Enable USB Debugging Mode on your Samsung device from Settings > Developer Options.
- Download and install Heimdall on your MAC OSX from here.
- Download the root, recovery or other required file for your device.
- Connect your device to MacBook via USB cable.
- Remove the Samsung Kies from your MacBook if you’ve already installed.
Steps to Download and Install JODin3 on MAC OSX
Note: There are two ways to use JOdin3 flashing tool on MAC OSX, one is to download the offline version, and other is to use it online.
Step 1: – First of all, download the offline version of JOdin3 or access the online JOdin3 on your MacBook.
Step 2: – Tap on “PDA” tab.
Step 3:- Navigate to the required .tar.md5 file.
Step 4: – Now boot your Samsung device into download mode by pressing and holding the Power + Volume Down + Home buttons altogether and plug it to MacBook using USB cable.
Step 5: – Uncheck all the options in JOdin3 except Auto-Reboot option.
Step 6: – Now tap on “Start” button to initiate the process, and JOdin3 will ask for the PIT file of your Samsung Galaxy device.
Step 7: – Follow the on-screen instruction carefully until the flashing process is completed successfully.
